The Ki1.4 students enjoyed learning about number and shapes through the topic pumpkins. Ms Doreen Galea prepared a counting station. Students then had to make a witch’s brew using the correct number of ingredients.

During another activity students measured pumpkins using blocks and wool. They then counted the blocks to see which was the largest pumpkin and compared the wool lengths.

Students were given time to explore the inside of pumpkin while observing colour, seeds and learning about the texture of pumpkins.

Students enjoyed painting with pumpkins. They also mixed red and yellow paint to get orange!

During another activity students learned about shape recognition and focused mainly on triangles.

Finally children enjoyed preparing a healthy soup with pumpkins and other healthy ingredients.
