Listening to the Story “Il-Prinċep Żrinġ”

A frog puppet was used to introduce and read ‘Il-Prinċep Żrinġ’ during a story telling session. Additional finger puppets were used to entertain the children, while keeping them more engaged in the story. Open ended questions were asked during the story telling session such as:

  • What Colour is frog?
  • How big is the frog?
Free drawing using cayons

As a follow up the children were asked to draw a frog freely with a crayon. During this journal writing task the teacher intrdouced basic steps on how to draw a simple frog. 

Story telling enhanced to new vocabulary, creativity and imagination since students were asked to imitate the frog.
