K1.1 students enjoyed cooking pumpkin soup while learning about pumpkins. They started of by learning what ingredients are needed.
Students enjoyed preparing the soup at school made of very healthy ingredients.
Finally they enjoyed eating their own cooked meal with their friends.
The fun was not over. Children enjoyed playing with the empty pumpkins!
These activities were linked to numeracy and students enjoyed learning shapes while still working around a common theme.
During another activity the children used large ladles to scoop up letters. They had to find the letter ‘q’ for qara ħamra’.
Finally students observed snails on a light table to see which snail was going to reach the finish line first!
